WHY SHOULD I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE

The committee are often asked the question, "Why should I be a member of the Wood Flooring Association (WFA)" and we felt that we should provide a few of the advantages that members have at their disposal.
1. Being a member entitles you to a free report on any floor should you require one. The normal cost for these reports is between $550.00 to $650.00. This alone makes the membership cost of $180.00 per year tremendous value. It should be kept in mind that increasingly, many clients have unreasonable expectations, or use minor details to either refuse or reduce payment.
2. A newsletter is sent electronically or by mail to all members. This contains helpful hints and advice, notification of events and any new developments to keep members up to date on the state of the industry. Free advertising is available for sale or purchase of timber flooring equipment.
3. Committee members are always available for advice or information that may be required by members.
4. A member's website provides forum for members to communicate with one another as well as technical data sheets to assist with common difficulties.
5. Regular business breakfasts are held to enable networking with colleagues to share all sorts of valuable information and experiences as well as providing problem solving opportunities.
6. Constant efforts are made to find and offer opportunities to members either with timber flooring products or timber floor services or suggestions on business management.
It is the constant endeavour of the Voluntry Hard Working Committee to provide a service oriented professional organisation that directly benefits all contractors in the industry in order to raise the profile, standards and skills of members.
We would like to take the opportunity to encourage members to join the committee not only as a service opportunity, but also as a personal learning and an excellent self development opportunity with the possibility of mentoring if that would be helpful.
We look forward to hearing from you.
